Customize anything

We believe that you should be able to customize any part of your website. We have gone over the building basics to make your unique pages. And set the overall look and feel through Site Settings. However, there are 3 more ways that you can customize your site:

Styling & Layout

Start here. Every block you place can be restyled right in the page editor — set its width, give it a background colour from your site palette (text contrast adjusts itself), open up or tighten the spacing, and add Bootstrap utility classes like rounded or shadow for finer control. You can even give a block an ID so you can link straight to it. No code required.

Edit Liquid Code

When the built-in controls aren’t enough, you can edit the templates themselves. Web Village uses Liquid — the same friendly templating language behind Shopify themes — right in the admin, with no local setup or deploys. Build your own reusable blocks, lean on built-in filters like markdown and automatic contrast, and keep your work safe across platform upgrades by adding to the protected style, header-extra, and footer-custom files rather than editing standard templates.

Custom Development

Sometimes you need something all your own — a directory, a calculator, a payments or CRM integration, a workflow no template covers. Because Web Village is built on Phoenix and Elixir with a fast, fault-tolerant foundation and each site’s data cleanly isolated, almost anything is possible.
